About CDSCO
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) is the National Regulatory Authority (NRA) of India for drugs and cosmetics. It operates under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The headquarters of CDSCO is located at FDA Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi 110002.
CDSCO plays a vital role in the regulation of drugs and cosmetics in India. It has six zonal offices, four sub-zonal offices, thirteen Port offices, and seven laboratories spread across the country. These offices and laboratories are instrumental in ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of drugs and cosmetics available in the market.
The regulatory framework governing drugs and cosmetics in India is primarily based on the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940, and the rules formulated under it in 1945. These laws entrust various responsibilities to both central and state regulators to ensure the proper regulation of drugs and cosmetics. The main objective is to protect the safety, rights, and well-being of patients and consumers by maintaining a standard and uniform implementation of the provisions laid out in the Act and Rules.

Qualification/Experience required at CDSCO
Candidates applying for the Senior Technical Data Associate position should meet one of the following qualification and experience criteria:
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Clinical/Biomedical Engineering/Biotechnology, or
- M.Sc., Ph.D. in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Bio-Technology, or
- BDS/M.D in Clinical Pharmacology. Additionally, candidates must have M.S. in Medical Devices Technology/M.Pharmacy/Pharm.D with at least 3 years of industrial experience in R&D, Manufacturing, Testing, and Regulatory affairs.
