Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), located in Lucknow, is a highly specialized medical institution dedicated to teaching and training in the field of medicine. It is situated to the southeast of Lucknow city, along the Lucknow-Raebareli Road, approximately 12 kilometers away from the main railway station known as Charbagh, as well as from Lucknow Airport and the city center, Hazratganj.

Note for Previous Applicants:
Candidates who applied against Advt. No. I-34/G/Rectt/2021-22 are eligible for the recruitment process and need not reapply. However, ensure eligibility before proceeding. Registered pharmacists under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 may check their application status using their earlier password.
Essential Educational Qualification at SGPGIMS:
- Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized University/Institution
- Registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree in pharmacy from a recognized University/Board.
- 02 years of experience in a related field.
Pay Matrix Level (7th CPC): Level-5
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be between 18 to 40 years as of July 1, 2023. Age calculation depends on the Advt. release date.
- Upper age limit varies for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs, and other categories in Uttar Pradesh.
- Permanent Government Employees with 3 years of service may get a 5-year relaxation.
Reservation:
- Reservation policies comply with the Government of Uttar Pradesh’s directives.

Selection Process:
- Selection based on Common Recruitment Test (CRT) marks.
Common Recruitment Test (CRT):
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total marks: 100
- Sections:
- 60 marks on subject-related to the post
- 10 marks on General English
- 10 marks on General Knowledge
- 10 marks on Reasoning
- 10 marks on Mathematical Aptitude
- Negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for incorrect answers
- Minimum qualifying marks:
- 50% for General, EWS, OBC
- 45% for SC & ST
Final Merit List:
- Prepared based on CRT marks for all categories
- Rank awarded to all qualified applicants
- For General category, all applicants considered
- For reserved categories, only applicants of that category considered
- Same method applies to all reserved categories.
